Colorado Legacy Foundation Summit

On November 5, The Colorado Legacy Foundation hosted its annual Legacy Luncheon and Commissioner's Choice Awards, an event that recognizes Colorado school districts and schools that apply best practices to children's health and wellness. This year's "Healthy Kids Learn Better!" Legacy Summit convened administrative-level leaders and other champions of school health and wellness, including community organizations, foundations, and parent groups. The Summit aimed to provide districts with the tools and resources they need to address the health and wellness issues most important to them. The Garfield County School District, a Foundation grantee, was honored in the area of nutrition.
