Sue Beecraft

Director of Nutrition Services, Garfield School District RE-2

Sue Beecraft supervises the meal program operation of five elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high school kitchens. She is responsible for the administration of the National School Lunch Program in Garfield RE-2 School District, which serves a population of 4,700 students and 45 employees.

Beecraft is responsible for all areas of the program, including menu planning, inventory, nutrient analysis, and the free and reduced lunch portion of the NSLP. She is a member of the School Nutrition Association, Mountain Boces Nutrition Buying Group, and the Colorado Commodity Advisory Group. In 1994 Beecraft was rewarded the CDE Columbine Award for Outstanding Director of Nutrition Services for the State of Colorado.
