Executive Chef and Coop Coordinator
Dave Avalos, co-founder of Culinary Caregivers Collaborative, is a respected and highly creative chef and an inspirational leader. An avid traveler, he uses his culinary experiences from around the globe as a foundation for creating innovative dishes while paying close attention to health and dietary concerns. Avalos is skilled in large-scale food production, logistical organization and new business development.
He is certified as a sanitation and HACCP trainer and is co-founder and Director of Education for the Global Culinary Center. He also serves as Managing Partner of Culinary Caregivers Collaborative and Co-Director of Nutrition Services at Aspen Country Day School. He is a gold, silver, and bronze medal recipient of the International American Culinary Federation.
Avalos is working with Children's Health Foundation to put together a multi-county purchasing co-op that would allow schools, hospitals, and other area institutions to purchase healthy, fresh produce and meats at lower costs.
